Wine and Dine

Celebrate the beauty of the autumn season at Dragonfly Farms! Gather around a communal table set on the farm's 800-acre property and enjoy a wine-tasting focused on local Virginia wines, enjoy a farm-to-table charcuterie grazing table, and take in the beautiful scenery of fall across the rolling fields.

During the wine-tasting, sommelier and winemaker Tracy Waldron will guide you through the approach used by professionals to taste and evaluate wine, and the systems by which our brains and palates make sense of wine’s structural and aromatic characteristics. By the end of the evening you will be able to choose wines that you’ll enjoy; be able to discuss your likes and dislikes in restaurant, wine shop, or winery settings; and understand how to choose exactly the right wine to pair with any meal.

About Dragonfly Farms: Bruce and Katherine Johnson started Dragonfly Farms in 2007 on a 54 acre farm in Central Virginia. They began their business of producing quality grassfed beef on forage alone by focusing on breeding selection, grazing management, animal welfare and environmental stewardship. Today, they are currently grazing over 800 acres and managing a beautiful herd of grassfed and grass finished cattle from birth to butcher. The beef from Dragonfly Farms is well marbled and flavorful, and brings customers back year after year. Dragonfly Farms does all of this while using regenerative grazing practices and has won environmental stewardship awards.
